This flat is very pleasant to stay in as it has a very nice atmosphere.It is comfortable and one really feels at home.The location is excellent in Wien's 4th district called Wieden.The U-Bahn is just next doors,but you can easily walk to the centre of town.Shopping-facilities abound.We enjoyed our stay very much.The only disadvantage is the fact that there is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage beware.Apart from that highly recommendable!
Habe mir diese Wohnung ausgesucht, da sie gleich an der Buslinie zu mir ins Büro liegt. War aber angenehm überrascht, dass auch gleich die U-Bahn U1 nur 20m entfernt ist und der Hauptbahnhof ebenfalls so ca. 200m.
Der Eingang ins Haus schaut gepflegt aus. Ab in den 2.Stock. Mich erwartete eine geräumige Wohnung mit einem kleinen Schlafzimmer für die 2 Kinder - das aber so eine Art indirektes Fenster hat, damit man etwas Helligkeit vom anderen Zimmer bekommt. Im Elternschlafzimmer kann man sogar bei offenem Fenster gut schlafen, da nicht viel Verkehr an der Straße ist. Große Dusche, moderne Küche mit großem Tiefkühler und Esstisch sowie 2 Couchen im Wohnzimmer mit großem Flachbild-TV - ideal für die Fussball-WM. Auch WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei.
In der Umgebung gibt es noch gleich ein kleines Café, Pizzerien und ein paar andere Lokale. Kann man also ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen - auch unser Hund fühlte sich wohl.
Die Wohnung liegt extrem gut. Der Hauseingang liegt ca. 15 Meter neben dem Aufgang aus der U-Bahn Station 'Südtirolerplatz' von wo die U-Bahn direkt ins Zentrum (Karlsplatz, Stephansplatz, Schwedenplatz, Praterstern) fährt. Das Haus selber wirkt zwar nicht besonders freundlich, dafür ist die Wohnung sehr schön eingerichtet und die hohen Räume verleihen ihr einen herrlichen Altbau-Charme. Die Küche ist modern und bietet neben der Filter-Kaffeemaschine sogar einen richtigen Teekrug. Das Bad ist zwar eng, da eine relativ grosse Waschmaschine viel Platz benötigt, aber man hält sich da ja auch nicht stundenlang drin auf... Das einzige, was etwas stört, dass es im Schrank keine Tablare gibt um Kleider einzuräumen und das auf dem Schrank wieder mal abgestaubt werden sollte (das fällt mir als 2 Meter Mensch natürlich sofort auf...). Ansonsten gibt es einen riesigen TV mit UPC Anschluss, was hiess, dass wir sogar Schweizer Fernsehen schauen konnten. Ausserdem ist das vorhandene (und problemlos funktionierende!) WLAN positiv hervorzuheben.
1) Uncomfortable couches with no table or foot stools to put ones feet up.
2) Poor lighting, especially in the bathroom.
3) No dresser space/shelving to unpack clothing.
4) Impossible to wash face in bathroom sink with the cabinet above hanging over the sink.
When I did try to wash my face I couldn't avoid getting water all over the floor, again because
of the cabinet above.
We have resorted to washing out face and teeth in the kitchen sink. Angelo has to shave in
the shower.
5) Inadequate daily staples such as paper products, kitchen, and bathing necessities
No paper towels, Kleenex, napkins, and only one roll of toilet tissue for 6 days, really???
No salt and pepper, sugar or even a spatula for the skillet.
Only two medium size and two small size towels for 6 days. Not going to be adequate
especially when you have to wipe the water up off the bathroom floor every time you wash
your face.
6) There is no shelving or soap dishes in the shower to place soap or hair products.
7) No instructions for clothes washer
8). The key pickup location is so far from the apartment it cost us 15€ extra for the taxi just to
pick up the key. This fact was not mentioned in any of the literature. For what we're paying
for this apartment someone should have been here in person to meet us to turn over the key
and go over how things work. Map instructions were in German. We do not read or speak
German.

Die Lage ist optimal. Eine U-Bahnstation befindet sich gleich bei der Wohnung und das Zentrum ist auch zu Fuss gut erreichbar. Die Wohnung selbst ist schön eingerichtet, jedoch fehlten ein wenig die kleineren Dinge wie WC-Papier, Geschirrspül-Mittel, mehr als ein Küchentuch, Salz\u0026Pfeffer, etc...
